We are currently hiring: Job Title: Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator/Administrator Job Summary: The PSM Coordinator position is an entry level, non-management, position with the company's Safety Department.
The PSM Coordinator is responsible for organizing and maintaining documentation to ensure that the PSM program is compliant with all OSHA and EPA standards.
The PSM Coordinator will serve as the liaison between the Safety and plant Refrigeration departments.
By following the 14 steps of Process Safety Management and the PSM Coordinator will provide oversight and ensure regulatory compliance for the facility ammonia refrigeration system.
The PSM Coordinator is also responsible for the reviewing/updating of SDSs and chemical labeling supporting the global hazard communication requirements of the location.
Provides support related to global hazard communication requirements and inquiries to both internal and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities Facilitates the location’s PSM Committee and organizes associated action/follow-up items amongst the committee members by using tracking software.
Facilitate and maintain the plant’s Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) program including the coordination and planning of all PHA reviews.
Coordinate and participate in all PSM/RMP related audits.
Organize, track and facilitate resolution to PHA, Mechanical Integrity and Compliance Audit recommendations in a timely manner.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Equipment Lists, Materials of Construction, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) are maintained and organized for all equipment associated with the covered process.
Collaborate in the creation of LOTO procedures for all ammonia refrigeration equipment and ensure appropriate updates/revisions are maintained.
Facilitate the Management of Change (MOC) process for all ammonia refrigeration projects which require MOCs and ensure all related documentation is managed and organized appropriately.
Initiate and facilitate PSM/RMP Incident Investigations of the covered process and work with related departments for corrective action resolution.
Coordinate implementation and compliance with all PSM (OSHA) and RMP (EPA) elements per government regulations, as well as applicable Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP).
Be facility point of contact for OSHA, EPA, and RAGAGEP regulations/standards as they pertain to the covered process.
Coordinate facility Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) response capabilities by maintaining team documentation.
Ensure required training is scheduled and conducted.
Coordinate facility Hazard Communication program and maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory.
Responsible for managing the introduction and removal of chemicals at the facility.
All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in safety, maintenance, and/or ammonia is preferred or a mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to work collaboratively with relevant departments and available to work after hours or weekends if specifically needed.
Experience reading and interpreting regulations and standards.
Must be able to work independently without on-site supervision.
This position will report directly to the Corporate PSM Manager.
Must have at least intermediate level computer skills, including proficiency in Google Business Suite (or equivalent).
Must be able to problem solve.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
May be asked to work extended hours and.
or weekends as needed but is limited to needed training or projects.
Flexible schedule is available as approved by manager.
Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
