As a SBA Portfolio Manager, you will ensure the overall credit quality of the SBA Portfolio throughout the NBH footprint, including fully secured and under-secured originated transactions in multiple channels within the Bank.
Facilities to include SBA Express, 7a Small Loans, 7a Standard Loans, 504 transactions, CAPLine and other SBA and USDA Products.
Manage the existing portfolio of clients and monitor client relationships for internal and external regulation and compliance requirements.
These include but are not limited to: NBH Credit Policy and Underwriting Guidelines, NBH SBA Credit Policy and Underwriting Guidelines, SBA SOP 50 10 7 (Origination Manual), SBA SOP 50 57 3 (Servicing Manual), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Federal and State laws related to safety and soundness, consumer protections and privacy, etc.
Complete annual reviews and quarterly reports for all relationships in the portfolio in accordance with internal policy requirements.
Underwrite routine and complex servicing actions, including financial spreads and analysis, for SBA relationships in accordance with SBA requirements as outlined in the SBA Servicing Manual.
Monitor and track past due reporting requirements, financial covenants and documentary ticklers.
Monitor the SBA Portfolio risk ratings for continuous accuracy and timely adjustments within the SBA Portfolio in accordance with Bank Risk Rating Policy Pull reports from SBA Lender Portal and monitor Bank portfolio, including Bank PARRIS Score trends and concern monitoring and Client SBPS scores for changes to risk profile.
Ideal candidates will have experience with SBA products and requirements, including SBA SOP and Product knowledge.
Minimum Requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent.
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field or possess equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 5 years of relevant experience in business and/or commercial banking, preferably with SBA products.
· Capacity to work with multiple computer and software systems including Microsoft Office and web based applications.
Desired Skills: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following skills and attributes: · SBA Lending knowledge, including eligibility requirements, underwriting rules and guidelines and product specifics.
· Completed formal credit training program or equivalent.
· Capacity to work with Bank centered computer and software systems, such as FIS, Moody’s CreditLens, and Capitalstream.
· Ability to think logically and analyze complex business financials to perform risk assessment.
· Passionate and motivated self-starter.
· Strong work ethic and ability to complete work accurately and efficiently.
· Ability to think logically in order to analyze situations and make sound credit decisions.
· Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Operate as an effective communicator, who is able to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns.
